The latest promotional tie-in with The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part sees Chiquita bananas focusing on Banarnar. Chiquita will be giving customers the opportunity to win LEGO prizes – including sets and movie tickets – as part of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part promotion. 300 million stickers featuring LEGO minifigures will be on Chiquita bananas in the USA and select European countries. This activity has come about thanks to the fruit based character Banarnar.
A fun advert for the tie-in declared Banarnar the winner of the “Best fruit in a leading role” Peel D’Or Award. “Chiquita shares the common values of brightening up our consumer’s days and encouraging fun and laughter for all,” said Jamie Postell, director of sales-North America. “We hope to provide a little bit of sunshine and happiness this winter season, inspiring fans to discover our special stickers, collect them and share the love.”
To unlock online games and potential prizes, banana buyers need to enter the code on each sticker at a dedicated microsite, that also features fun LEGO themed banana recipes.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be released on February 8, 2019.
