Box labels are usually rather blah, but not this one. Call it two for the price of one -- a white rectangular box label with the small Alishan gem stuck to it! Found in Japan.
This label was on packs of Alishan bananas in Fukui, Japan. That said, I'm not sure it really belonged with the Alishan brand, as I saw it elsewhere by itself, without any hint of Alishan. In Japan the produce people handle the bag labels, which are packed with the fruit, so it's up to the workers to seal the bags and apply the exterior labels. The surprising thing is that sometimes they stick the big pack labels directly on the bananas, so technically the big labels may be used either way -- on the bags or on occasion on the bananas themselves.
Don't know what to call this one. It was inside the pack loose with the bananas, but not attached to them or to the bag!
This is technically a pack label from Japan, placed on packs of Alishan Bananas from Taiwan. It was used to indicate a discount for overripe fruit, and considering the very high price of Alishan in Japan, it was a cheaper way to get the beautiful Alishan labels.
